The new homeowner south of me locks a whining crying dog in his side yard by my window every day. It’s obvious the dog was never locked outside before.
I filled out a complaint with the city, they sent him a letter, and for a while he paid lip service to their responsibility. But that lasted only a week or so. This has been going on for over a month.
I’ve taken to tossing pebbles at the fence, which startles the dog and it shuts up for a while.
Today the guy was in his backyard in sight of his penned up dog where he can see and hear his dog. I tossed pebbles at the fence and he said, “Stop throwing rocks at my fence!”
I said, “It’s my fence.”
He said, “OUR fence “
I said, “I’ll tell you what. I’ll only throw pebbles at my side of the fence. I won’t hit your side of the fence.”
I came in and filled out a follow up complaint without talking to the new neighbor further.
His dog is inside now. For now.
