Stand Up To Stigma is peer education created by peers, presented by peers, and managed by peers.

We believe the best way to educate both the public and other peers about the challenges and triumphs of having Mental Health Issues is through peers openly sharing their life experiences and recovery journeys.

We have several education programs we offer free of charge to our communities.

  • Laugh It Off
  • Peer and Police Safety
  • You Can’t Always See It
  • Get To Know Me
  • Families Feel It, Too
  • Things Can Get Better
  • Milestones in My Recovery Journey
  • Facilitator Training
  • Peer Focus Groups

Stand Up To Stigma believes that education is the way to break through the barriers that keep people from understanding each other, and our peer presenters are thoughtful, well-trained individuals willing to share their life stories to help facilitate understanding.

From the inside out, it’s hard to explain.
From the outside in, it’s hard to understand.

Stand Up To Stigma bridges this gap.
