Quick show of hands. Of those opposed to economic renewal, who amongst has gainful not-at-risk employment and/or a comfortable buffer of financial resources at this moment?

That’s what I thought. It’s easier to justify “absolute safety” when a dead-stopped economy doesn’t affect your ability to live. This is a novel virus and there is absolutely no way scientifically to surmise waiting this out indefinately will be any differerent than ceasing to vilify those who must go back to work right now. None. For all we know, going back to work now could just as easily benefit health safety. It’s all a piss in a tornado best guess anyway.

“Restarting the economy too soon” has no scientific foundation and sounds like “fuck you and your financial desperation” to those Americans who don’t have the financial luxury to wait out a best-guess all’s clear pronouncement.

Please, next time you feel like calling someone a death-mongering idiot sure to bring about the doom of the world entire, ask the idiot how their finances are and if there’s anything you can do to lessen their financial doom.

If you disagree with economic renewal for Americans most at risk, stay home and wait it out. No one is forcing you to come outside.
