Tonight I baked a peach pie made from frozen peaches Clare and I harvested from the tree right off her patio. Fresh frozen, sliced and frozen right after harvesting. This thing smells delicious, and it’ll taste delicious a la mode for breakfast, which is something Clare and I did quite often for breakfast last year.

The deliciousness is owed to being infused with a secret ingredient from the South Pacific, a secret ingredient imparted only to Clare. So sad for you. Really. My heart weeps tears of secret Tahitian ingredient.

I’ve got enough peaches left for one last pie. I believe I will save them for next summer.

I miss that tree, although I miss having peach pie breakfast with Clare Clarissa Nina Castellano much more.
