Finally, the omnipresent ignorance piqued interest and touched upon personal experience, so much so I feel comfortable offering political commentary.

“There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor. Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!”

United States Forest Service (Department of Agriculture), National Park Service (Department of Interior), Bureau of Land Management (Department of Interior) . . . all FEDERAL land management agencies . . . in addition, federal military reserves (Department of Defense) and national labs (Department of Energy). I wonder how these agencies will operate fire control with “no more Fed payments.”
