Let’s get this straight and clear. Scientists in industry aren’t part of the “publish or perish” machine of academia. It’s meaningless to challenge a scientist working in the useful world with nonsensical proof-seeking cliches like “If you know so much why don’t you publish?”

Well, industry scientists do publish. These publications are called patents.
