In 2023, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham attempted to suspend the United States Constitution by banning guns in violation of the Second Amendment. She did so as a “public health emergency” and claimed it was a spontaneous emotional decision because just too many people were getting shot. But it turns out in a John Hopkins University web presentation months earlier she laid out her plans to declare guns a public health emergency. She was merely waiting for the properly sensational event to unleash her unconstitutional gun ban. New Mexico AG Raul Torrez refused to represent the governor because he swore his oath to protect and honor our Constitution.
The New Mexico Supreme Court recently considered the legality of Governor Lujan Grisham’s gun ban in accordance with state law and in a 3 to 2 opinion decided her gun ban didn’t violate state law. The thing is, the court litigated the wrong gubernatorial executive action. Article VI Clause 2 and the Second Amendment take care of this gun violation (ha!).
The Supreme Court must litigate her lethal COVID-19 executive orders that led to the death of many New Mexicans with mental health conditions, forced to isolate away from human contact and humanity itself. I offer her pandemic lockdown actions are both potentially criminal and definitely inhumane.
Were there unconstitutional human rights violations contained in Lujan Grisham’s COVID-19 forced mandates? She has proven her disregard for our Bill of Rights, banning guns as a “health emergency.” I’d like AG Raul Torrez to determine if she did the same with her pandemic forced mandates.
In memory of my friend, Jerald.
