Only available on the Last American Virgin soundtrack, when I interviewed the guys in Plain White T’s about their cover of this song for the Dead Band’s Party album, they said Better Luck Next Time was chosen because they wanted to cover a not-well-known song Danny Elfman would notice. When I spoke with Danny about ten years prior in 1994, he said he didn’t like Better Luck Next Time. Funny stuff.
