Are American voters influenced at all by celebrity pundits? Does anyone say “Whoopi Goldberg hates Trump so now I’ll vote for Kamala” or “George Clooney held a fundraiser for Biden so the Dems have my vote”?

The already converted partisan true believers think it’s great. It makes them feel good about their party and candidates when the worst Batman ever says he likes what they like. But they’re already voting for Kamala so celebrity support does nothing. There is no gain.

It’s the independent voters who move the needle, and there’s not a single celebrity endorsement that’ll distract me from real issues. Nor are other independents affected. Cross tab polls bear this out. Effectively, celebrity pundit conversions are a myth when polling voters with intellectual agency.

American voters don’t care what celebrities think. They have less education that Greta Thunberg. Ricky, you are legend.
