Albuquerque is a big small town. Strolling down to Walgreen’s, choosing one of two possible doors, and straight into an exiting lady did I bump. And, after some awkward quick-step post-collision shuffling, the lady recognized me.

She had sent me a note on a dating app last week. It was a note to which I hadn’t replied.

“Why didn’t you reply?” jokingly she asked.

“Because I don’t a have paid subscription and can’t reply. I’m just trying to see if this place still fabricates activity,” stumbling over my words with the same adept grace as if I ran into her a second time.

“Well, I’m real. I really did send you a message,” flirtingly she suggested.

So now I’m off to play 8 Ball.
