The exodus of artists demanding their art is removed from Spotify – in protest of Joe Rogan having a chinwag with people harboring conspiracy, hate, and murder in their hearts – continues unchecked as Graham Nash and India Arie are now supporting Young’s highly publicized feud with Spotify.

Known as the “Solidarity Seven,” here is the list of artists very cross indeed with Spotify as of February 1, 2022:

Neil Young
Graham Nash
India Arie
Joni Mitchell
Nils Lofgren
Brene Brown *
Christi Carras

With the addition of Nash and Arie today, the number of artists supporting Young has skyrocketed over 30% compared to just yesterday. And, the exodus of the additional six artists pulling their art off Spotify has been swift and decisive, taking only eight days to reach the striking total of seven (including Young), amounting to nearly one artist each day since the scandal broke.

Those with financial ties to Spotify’s success now are faced with the uncertainty of Spotify’s sustainability. Any streaming platform losing seven artists from a scant 8 million artist databank must consider the long-reaching fiscal impact beyond this initial salvo of what many in the media predict is the “End is F***ing Nigh for Spotify.”

As of this writing, it is unknown how many of the 172 million paying premium subscribers on Spotify have cancelled their subscriptions in support of the Solidarity Seven.

*Brene Brown has not removed her content from Spotify; she is refusing to publish new episodes. Like Joe Rogan, Brown’s podcast is contractually exclusive to Spotify.
