When diligent, photos and videos can be located of the most horrific stories we’re hearing out of southern Appalachia. It’s all true and so much worse. I began my search on X to verify the stories. I do this because I choose not to be ignorant. Ignorance is a choice. I eventually found my way to community boards of people searching for loved ones almost certainly lost forever.

The one detail I’ll share through verification is it’s easily over a thousand people lost. Not 200. It’s so much worse than a human mind and heart can imagine.

It’s disgusting, anyone calling bullshit on the reports of these devastated, suffering American citizens in the mountainous areas hit hardest by Helene. Protecting Kamala and her failed FEMA just to win an election is disgusting. I verified the stories of these devastated, suffering Americans ignored by our sitting federal government. Anyone can verify the stories. Ignorance and denial is a choice.

The beautiful thing about my verification search is Americans of every persuasion have banded together and have already begun to rebuild their destroyed communities. Nearly everyone reports they’ve seen very few FEMA personnel and mostly they just get in the way. No one is listening to FEMA. Americans caring for Americans. The resilience. The innovation. The strength of community and charity. This is the America I love. I feel a great swell of hope for our country and our people.

I’ve verified and now I’m done. It’s unimaginable, the destruction and loss. For shame, Collusive Propagandist National Media. Rigging a debate is one thing. Pretending the catastrophe of real Americans isn’t real is despicable.
