“Science” has no meaning any longer, not after how politically misused it was all through 2020. Telling me to “check THE SCIENCE” or “THE SCIENCE proves” has no more weight or validity than a daily horoscope in the New York Times or an empassioned Yelp review. We need a new word for  what was once broadly accepted as “science.”

And as long as we’re at it, let’s reconsider the word “fact.”
